What is a Traffic Incident?

Any event managed by CHART system that closes a travel lane(s) on the highway system. These events contain vehicle accidents, tractor trailer incidents, debris in roadway.

What is a Weather Incident?

Any event managed by CHART system that closes a travel lane(s) due to severe weather. These may be caused by events such as flooding, ice, snow, high water.

What is a Closure Event?

Any event managed by CHART system or Emergency Operations system that plans a roadwork closure. These may be planned roadwork or emergency roadwork events. Some events will temporarily close and reopen lanes, others may be long term lane closures.

What is an Other Traffic Event?

These events managed by the CHART system typically do not close travel lanes, but are associated with some travel delay. Examples include Recurring Congestion, Special Events such as civic or sporting events, Disabled vehicles not in roadway, Police Activity, Signal outages.
